JBB 2008 09 13

Hello Everyone,

Lots to cover this time so pay attention.

We are not playing this week. That’s right, JBB Harcum will not be playing in the Kleinasium or at Our Mother of Good Counsel. We offered to have Father Jim hear confessions right after a collection at halftime. He seemed interested until he heard we had guys named Mad Dog and The Hammer. Downtown tried to convince him he would be ‘at work in the court of the Lord’ but Father Jim decided he couldn’t be more than twelve years old so what did Downtown know. I interjected that Downtown was good at throwing up Hail Mary’s. He said JBB was too bizarre or was it there was a bazaar that was using the court? At any rate, we’re out.

There is renewed franchise activity and news.

Ø Will “Magic” Johnson reports from Fairfield University that he has finally been able to establish a JBB franchise there.

Ø This just in from former Post JBBer on a potential appearance at Harcum JBB:

Ø Ebony ‘Marvelous’ Fowlkes made her first appearance at Harcum JBB last Saturday and vows to return. BTW – she arrived with her own nickname so I’m leaving it for now. We’ll see.

Ø Post JBB has been exceedingly quiet as it appears to have dwindled down to Carl ‘The Truth’ Cascella, Karen ‘Super’ Mann, and Scott ‘The Bricklayer’ Allen. They must be concentrating on football.

Ø Haven’t heard from Todd Hartch ‘Reality’ on this year’s startup of the Eastern KY JBB

Ø Alfred (Where it all started and “look at all the jelly belly’s playing basketball” was first uttered.) has a new Pres but seems to lack any JBB presence.
